Most of the characters in this story were not very likable, so for that I would have given it a 2. However, Crichton's newspaper excerpts (oh, the wit!) and engaging subject matter were enough to raise it to maybe a 3.5. Most people, it seems, would probably not enjoy this book much, but I thought it was a witty enough and interesting enough read.
